UNIX - new Editions of OpenServer and UnixWare

Shortly after Forum SCO will release 2 new Editions of it's flagship UNIX product Openserver 6 and UnixWare 7. UnixWare 7m and OpenServer 6m will integrate many patented mobile technologies from the SCO Mobile platform. This allows a all-in-one solution for customers who want to mobilize their existing business applications for the use of smartphone clients. The power, stability and reliability of UNIX will drive successful mobile technologies for your customers.

The SCO Mobile server product will also be available as a standalone product for the MS Windows platform.

The new UNIX Editions will also ship with a bundled version of HipCheck - an out of the box SCO Mobile solution for proactive Server Monitoring from smartphone devices.

Also shortly after Forum SCO will release a major Maintenance Update for the current Openserver 6 product.

These, and many more details will be highlighted at the upcoming SCO Tec Forum.

New Driver and other Supplements are available free of charge in the Support Download Area.

New SCO certified and compatible hardware

Updates for certified servers are made to the SCO Hardware Database. New servers that have been certified include the Fujitsu Siemens Econel 100 and RX300-S3 (SAS) and others.

An updated Beta version of Shout Postcard is now available oneline at www.shoutpostcard.com.

Postcards including text, photo and audio data can now be created completely from a web interface in addition to the smart phone client interface.
Each subscriber can send postcards to 25 contacts or friends at no charge. Postcards can be added automatically to a subscribers web album and a subscriber can invite other people to visit the webalbum. Integration in portals like myspace or netvibes is possible via an RSS feed and the subscribers can start a blog about their postcards from the web interface.

Introducing yourself and your friends to others with creative combined audio and photo messages or reporting updated informations about your current trip or just sharing memorable moments with other was never so easy.
