 SCO has made the ISO image of the new CD1 for OpenServer 6 available for download from SCO's Support Download Site. With this download customers who have a copy of the original OpenServer 6 media kit will have access the changes made in the latest media kit revision without having to purchase a new media kit. The CD1 image and release notes are available for download. It is now even easier to evaluate the new OpenServer Release. CD1 is all you need to setup a OpenServer 6 system. During the installation you can use the F8 function key in order to setup a 60 day Evaluation license. OpenServer 6 is binary compatible to OpenServer 5 - start with testing your OpenServer 5 application on OpenServer 6! Please install the most current OpenServer 6 Maintenance Pack before start testing (now MP2) If you find a problem, please make sure that MP2 is installed first. Then you can provide a detailed email in english language to osr5to6@sco.com and we will look into this and try to help. Note: SCO UnixWare 7 applications run on OpenServer 6 as well. Note: OpenServer 5 Device drivers don't work on OpenServer 6 because of the new kernel. However, UnixWare drivers just work on Openserver 6. Back |

 SCO introduced a new Failover Cluster offering for both SCO UnixWare 7.1.4 and OpenServer 6. This is the first Cluster Product for OpenServer 6 and an alternative product for UnixWare.
