SCO Mobile HipCheck™ Server, Release 1.1 available
HipCheck lets you use your Windows Mobile or Java capable phone or your PC to monitor your Windows and UNIX systems, set triggers for real-time event alerts, and then immediately respond to those alerts by viewing critical parameters and executing system commands.

Deployed vs. hosted version
Hipcheck is available in 2 different variants - a online service (hosted) and a version that customers can install inhouse (deployed)

Hosted: HipCheck™ Mobility Service
An online hosted service for proactively monitoring and managing UNIX® and Windows® Systems through a PC, a Windows Mobile or J2ME capable phone.  Each account needs one Account Activation License plus any number of Additional User and Extension Licenses.  To use the service, enter the license key in the "create new account" screen at www.hipcheck.sco.com.

Deployed: SCO Mobile HipCheck™ Server
A customer deployable HipCheck Server for proactively monitoring and managing UNIX® and Windows® Systems through a PC, a Windows Mobile or J2ME capable phone.  Licenses for this product are perpetual, with Software Maintenance provided for an additional 20% for each year.   The perpetual license price includes the first year of maintenance.

- Audit Trail
The HipCheck Portal web admin pages now have an Audit Trail report, where an account administrator can view recent HipCheck event, alert, and action activities, selectable by past number of days and sortable by user name, monitored system name, or type of activity.

- New Windows Mobile and Windows native client user interface
The HipCheck Windows Mobile and Windows native client has undergone some readily apparent user interface changes. Graphical icons and buttons are more prevalent everywhere.

Hardware related updates
Hardware certification - updated information in the SCO Hardware Database

The
Primergy RX200-S4 SAS server from Fujitsu Siemens Computers has been tested as compatible on OpenServer 6 and UnixWare 7.1.4.
Note: Bytec GmbH, a Fujitsu Siemens Technology Partner has done the Fujitsu Siemens certification.

The Dell PowerEdge 2950 III server has been certified for OpenServer 6 and UnixWare 7.1.4.
