New Skunkware for OpenServer 6 includes
OpenOffice, KDevelop,
Extras for KDE, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails. SCO Skunkware is a collection of free open source tools and applications precompiled and packaged for SCO OpenServer and UnixWare. SCO Skunkware packages are not officially supported. Questions, comments, requests, and problem reports with SCO Skunkware should be addressed via email to skunkware@sco.com. Ruby is an object oriented scripting language similar to Perl and Python. Rails is a Web application framework for Ruby. In addition to Ruby and Ruby on Rails, over 30 new Ruby related Skunkware packages for OpenServer 6 can be downloaded at: ftp://ftp2.sco.com/pub/skunkware/osr6/vols/Ruby/ KDevelop is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for KDE. It supports an extensive set of programming languages including C, C++, Fortran, Java, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, and SQL. The kdeextras package consists of the KDE 3.5.6 sub-packages that were not included in the KDE 3.5.6 package for OpenServer 6. These "Extras for KDE" include: kdebindings

the ability to write KDE applications in a variety of languages

OpenServer 6 include:

These include a version control system front-end for CVS, a program to view the differences between files, a UML Modeller, and a profile data visualization tool. kdetoys - KDE applications for a world clock, an applet showing the phases of the moon, and the ability to track weather stations. kdewebdev - Applications to assist in web development including Quanta Plus, Kommander, KXSL Debug, KImageMapEditor, KFileReplace and Kallery. See http://kdewebdev.org/ The kdeextras package was created to include KDE components whose port was still in progress, which are not necessary to the basic functionality of the desktop, had not been thoroughly tested, and/or were not considered product worthy.
