new SCO products around Webservices.

The new UnixWare 7.1.4 release is now available. Part of the new
Mediakit is the 

	SCOX WSS (WebServices Substrat) CDrom.

If you today use a character based application on your SCO Unix server (e.g.
you login via telnet, ssh or some other terminal emulator to the server 
and run your application) - SCOX WSS might be a very interesting offering for 
you. Especially if you like to modernize your applikation look and feel without
investing a lot in redeveloping or redesigning your application.

Or, if you like to provide access to your application to other applications or
via Intranet / Internet or if you like to develop a new webservice based
application then you should read on !

If you are looking for a modern GUI in order to develop webbased applications
then WebFace Studio is the right product to use.

The SCOx Web Services Substrate (WSS) is a toolkit for developing modern 
webservices based applications.
WSS incorporates with the latest applications and architectures like  
Microsoft .NET and Sun Java and works on top of existing character based 
applications and relational databases.

The most important components are 
- SCO Host Encapsulator - Ericom PowerTerm Host Publisher
- SCO SQL Encapsulator
- SCO WebFace incl. WebFace Studio
- Web Application Manager

All the components are available for UnixWare today and will be available 
for OpenServer as well.
(exception: the PowerTerm Host Publisher can only be installed on Microsoft
Windows as of today)
A 5 webservises session license is includesd with UnixWare 7.1.4.

Record the input / output of your existing UNIX Server application by using
the PowerTerm Publisher and hereby create the data for a webservices.
Use Webface in order to create a modern GUI for this webservice.

Use WebFace Studio in order to create a complete new webservice application by
using an easy to use Integrated Development Enviroement.

Use the Web Application Manager in order to deploy your Webservice via a UNIX
server !
