SCO Forum - Informationen zu SCO HipCheck
Während des SCO Forums im August wurden auch erstmals Informationen zum neuen SCO HipCheck Produkt zur Verfügung gestellt.

HipCheck ist ein MeInc basierender Service
HipCheck ist ein mobiler Dienst der es erlaubt von einem Windows Mobile basierendem "Smart Phone" aus, UNIX und Windows Serversysteme zu überwachen , proaktiv auf Alarmzustände zu reagieren und aktiv zu managen.

HipCheck Benutzer können:
Systemparameter überwachen
HipCheck Benutzer können sich systemrelevante Parameter ihrer Systeme anschauen und können Dienste überwachen.
Alarmzustände weiterleiten Desweiteren können Sie sich per SMS oder email informieren lassen, wenn bestimmte Schwellwerte erreicht wurden, die Sie definiert haben.
Remote Zugriff- und Steuerung
Sie haben dann die Möglichkeit automatisch darauf zu reagieren oder manuell einzugreifen.

HipCheck sichert Ihnen eine nahezu rund um die Uhr Systemüberwachung und verbessert auf diese Weise ganz erheblich die Qualität des System Managements für folgende Systeme:
  • Windows 2003
  • Windows XP Professional
  • SCO OpenServer 5.0.7
  • SCO OpenServer 6
  • SCO UnixWare 7.1.4

Im August hat SCO die alljährliche Partner und Kundenveranstaltung SCO Foum in Las Vegas durchgeführt. Das diesjährige Motto der Veranstaltung war: "Mobility Everywhere"
Die Veranstaltung hatte 2 parallele Präsentationsreihen: SCO UNIX und MeINC .
Zahlreiche Präsentationen und Livedemos sowie Entwicklertrainings und Keynote Präsentationen ermöglichten es den Teilnehmern aus erster Hand Neuigkeiten über die SCO Produkte zu erfahren.
